ONE DAY CLASSES

Dancing Trees
Tutor: Frieda Anderson
Skill level: All
No machine work
Materials fee: $33.50

This is a project using Frieda’s pattern. Fusing techniques will be learned and students will come away with a 20” x 24” quilt top. Fused appliqué is one of the methods Frieda uses to make award winning quilts like Dancing Trees. In this workshop students will make this quilt, using fusing, scissors and a rotary cutter with a deckle blade. A kit of hand dyed cottons is required, dyed specifically to produce the desired results. Frieda will supply decorative deckle blades for use in class.

Double Wedding Ring
Tutor: Sandra Chandler Lawhon
Skill level: Intermediate. No curve
piecing experience required
Materials fee: $25. Kit will include
at least 1-1/2 yards of top quality
cotton fabric, accurately die cut in
pieces matching the Just Curves
acrylic templates, as required
for sewing.

The Double Wedding Ring ranks as one of the most “I want to make that” quilts, but is also one of the most feared because of the curved piecing. In this class you will use Sandra’s Curve Master Presser Foot which allows easy sewing of curves with no pinning or clipping, making the quilt accessible to all quilters regardless of
experience. Sandra provides all tools needed for use in class.
