2016 AQC Challenge Theme Announced!

Call for Entries: Tradition with a Twist is the theme for the 2016 AQC Challenge. Size will remain the same at 90cm square and rules and entry conditions will be online at www.aqc.com.au shortly. Entries will be judged on interpretation of theme, design and workmanship. Open to all quilters!

The much anticipated winner of the Viewers’ Choice category in the AQC ‘True Blue’ Challenge is ‘True Blue Mates’ by Yvonne Chapman of WA. Yvonne’s quilt also won an honorable mention from the judges.

Congratulations to the winner of the Bernina Australian National Quilt Award, Linda White of Victoria for her quilt ‘Elenor Jean’ – an original design comprised of approximately 22,500 x ¼” hexagons.
Linda said, “My quilt is named after my maternal grandmother Elenor Jean Scouller. This is my second hexagon quilt. One quilt into two daughters did not go!”
